The story so far 📖

Welcome to my first blog post, not just of 2026, but ever! This little corner of my website is where I’ll be sharing product launch info, top tips for other makers, and general reflections on life as a creator. Thank you so much to those reading this; your support in visiting this site alone is so appreciated and I’m so glad you’re joining me.

If you’re new to Minimalish - hi. My name’s Bethany, I’m the face behind this small business, and make everything you’ll see on this site by hand here in my home in Nottingham, England.

I guess this began in the Summer of 2024, when I’d exhausted pretty much all of my other crafty hobbies (knitting, crochet, needle felting, scrapbooking, you name it and I’ve probably tried it!)and came across videos of people making jewellery from polymer clay. It wasn’t a new concept to me, I’d seen lots of handmade clay jewellery at fairs and markets but could never find anything that fit my style. They were often really bright and bold, both things that aren’t really a part of my wardrobe! I decided to try making my own clay jewellery, bringing together neutrals and wearable jewel tones, with simple and classic shapes to create jewellery that people like me can enjoy every day… and so Minimalish was born!

I first showcased my pieces for shoppers at a local Christmas market that November (as you can see, knitting was also a small part of early Minimalish stock) and loved the whole experience. I decided to try booking other events, and by the winter of 2025 I had developed a much clearer idea of my design style and process. With a few Etsy sales under my belt I decided to try my hand at web design, bringing us to the present day and this very website and blog you’re visiting now!

I can’t wait for what this year will bring, so whether you’re here for a flyby visit or stopping for a browse, thank you for joining me. Don’t forget to sign up to my email list for updates straight to your inbox, or follow me on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook for the latest info.
